In the UK, the Portfolio Pathway, formerly known as the CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) pathway, is designed for doctors who have obtained their medical qualifications outside the UK or EU, or for those who have trained in the UK but do not meet the criteria for direct entry to the Specialist Register.
